This blog is part of my PHD at the University of Southampton. It concerns the potential of new technology in aiding to more fully record archaeological excavations and cultural heritage. This new technology may come from a number of sources:

  • Commercial industry.
  • Kickstarter or Indiegogo crowdfunding projects.
  • Maker movement.

I have both worked in the Archaeology industry for a number of years, and studied an MSc in Archaeological Computing, so i understand how archaeology and cultural heritage is recorded, and how this recording could be improved with the addition of technology.
